Do I need a copy of my contact lens prescription?
No.
Federal law requires that contact lenses cannot be bought without a valid prescription.
However, you do not need a copy of your prescription to order contact lenses from Contacts America. If you do not have a copy of your prescription you can simply enter the name and fax number of your eye care practitioner and we will contact them to verify your prescription for you.
Note:
- Remember ... if you do have a copy of your prescription you can fax it to us after you have placed your order online and it will speed up processing your order.
- Don't Forget ... Federal Law also requires all eye care practioners to provide a copy of your prescription upon request.
