Bifocal / Multifocal Contact Lens Reviews

SofLens MultiFocal

Bifocal Lenses

I am just starting out with MultiFocal contacts and I have gone through 4 pairs of trial MultiFocal contacts and keep coming back to these. After trying 4 other manufacturers MultiFocal lenses the Bausch and Lomb Multifocal contacts are by far superior.

Freedom from glasses. No more reading glasses hanging around my neck. The Acuvue Bifocals are truly freedom. They are comfortable to wear all day long and I am amazed at how well I can see details and read small print. My contacts are in first thing in the morning because they are so comfortable to wear. I am over 40 and have worn reading glass...

Wearing bifocal glasses is a huge hassle. That's why I recommend using these contacts because they make it so much easier. I can see just as well with these and I can barely feel them in my eyes. I wish I had known about them sooner so I could have gotten rid of these bulky glasses a long time ago.

I just started to need reading glasses about 2 years ago. At first I was just buying them at my local pharmacy and guessing my prescription. Finally I went to see doctor gave me the choice of contacts or glasses so naturally I chose contacts! The Focus Progressive contacts were the most comfortable of the free trial pairs that my doctor gave me....

I have bad eyesight but I'm also very active, so wearing glasses is just not an option. That's why these lenses are so great. I can see all distances clearly and I avoid having to wear glasses during my sports. I actually barely notice these contacts at all, I have to have a reminder to take out them before I go to sleep.

I had to sacrifice some distance vision, but I still see 20/20 distance, just not 20/15 or 20/10 like I did with single vision. Reading vision I would give a C+, but the computer vision is an A. I work on the computer, so that is good. They do stay pretty wet also. It was a weird way of seeing the first week or so, but after 6 weeks I am please...

I love the PureVision Multifocal contact lenses. Up close vision is perfect. I was told that I couldn't have the best of both worlds with this contact and this is true. Mid level vison is acceptable and long distance is tolerable. I tried a different prescription with higher strength for distance and it didn't work for me because it altered my clos...

Biomedics EP (Proclear EP)

1-2 Week Disposable

I get the best sight of any contact with the Biomedics EP contact lenses. I was nearsighted and were contact lenses for most of my life, but as I got older I also start to have trouble seeing near. At first I would just wear reading glasses over my contact lenses, but I would often loose my reading glasses and found myself not being able to read a...

Acuvue Oasys for Presbyopia

My dr gave me a trial pair of acuvue Oasys for Presbyopia and I love them. They are so comfortable that I can't feel that they are in my eyes. They are thinner than the prior bifocal contacts that I had been wearing and are changed out every 2 weeks instead of monthly so they don't get stiff with age.
